This is a reader file. Right, but what's that? Well in this reader file
you can put information for users of XenoBlue. For example if you have
added or removed areas or other things you want them to know.
Every time you add something to this file XenoBlue will add it to the
user's packet as a bulletin file. To prevent that a user gets this file
over and over again, you have to put a date above it. As long as a user
didn't download a packet on that date or later he/she will get that
bulletin with his/her packet.
Normally you will use the date you wrote it. That way the user will only
get the bulletin once. But you can also use a future date, that way users
will get that bulletin until the specified date. For example you could
write a bulletin with a "Happy new year" message dated 07-01-96.
@@@@@ 30-07-95 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The structure of this file is simple but it's important you use it
correctly. Every bulletin has it's own date header which consists of 5
'@' followed by the desired date in dd-mm-yy format. Other characters are
ignored.
So for example:
@@@@@ 02-08-95 @@@@@@@@@@
Followed by the message text which can be any length. But be sure you
keep the length of all lines under 80 characters. If at all possible
don't use ANSI colors, some offline readers do not support this. You can
use IBM character graphics but that forces users to use an IBM.font.
@@@@@ 30-07-95 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
And another thing:
A user will get a maximum of 5 bulletins, if there a more than 5 he/she
will only get the latest 5. Well, that's about it... Good luck,
